Catherine M. Eichelberger of Yeadon

Catherine M. Eichelberger (née Gardler), 82, of Yeadon, PA passed away on November 18, 2017 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (née Janosz-Johnson) Gardler.

Catherine was the beloved wife for 61 years of Fred “Ike” Eichelberger; loving mother of Frederick (Patricia), William, Mary Sheridan, Catherine Kozloski (Albert), Christine Eichelberger (Daniel Ruta) and the late John Eichelberger; loving grandmother of Rachel, Emily, Hannah, James, Matthew, Lauren, Julie and Joshua; dear sister of Joseph Gardler (Helen), Eva Gardler (the late John Guzzardo), Harrison Gardler (Celeste), Mary Korenkiewicz (Alfred), Margaret Latch, the late Francis Gardler (the late Anna) and the late Agnes “Bunnie” Royer (the late Robert). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Catherine was a devoted wife and mother, who loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed growing indoor plants, her annual visits to the Flower Show, shopping and lunches out with her husband and also with her daughters. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Friday, November 24, 2017 at Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1101 Main Street, Darby, PA 19023, where friends may call from 9:00-10:00 AM in church.
