ALIEN-ATION
To “Trumped Up,” I agree what Trump is showing confidence and that he has a backbone, but if it would be nice if could do it in a way that didn’t alienate all the people necessary to accomplish some of the decent ideas that he has.
GOING TO POT
I saw in the paper last week there will be various areas in Delaware County will get marijuana for medical use. Of the diseases listed that it can be prescribed for, one sticks out is PTSD, post-traumatic stress disorder. Now, a lot of people really have this, but it would be prescribed by a doctor who in their opinion says that you have it. I’m sure people will find sympathetic doctors to give them marijuana for everything
THE EVIL OF GREED
I remember Thanksgiving was a holiday day to spend with your family for the day and relax. Now, Thanksgiving unfortunately has turned into a greedy holiday like everything else as in this country. It’s really sick what’s going on in this country today. And I’ll tell you – pretty soon, they will be having people working on Christmas Day. It’s a disgrace. What happened to the real days of American families and the people being with their families on Thanksgiving and Christmas and Easter and so on?
ENOUGH OF THE REMAKES
I see on TV that they made remakes of the classic TV shows, which are the best to begin with. They remade “Hawaii Five-O, and now “S.W.A.T.” Now can you imagine them remaking “All in the Family” without Carroll O’Connor and Jean Stapleton? That would be a mortal sin. Come on, let the classic TV shows alone. The producers and directors today don’t have the talents of the ones of the past, period.
WHAT A YUK
Oh well, if the Times has is going to reach irrational levels of Trumpbashing, at least I got a laugh out of headline “And Not Good Fashion At That” over someone complaining about Ivanka’s background.
THE SUN’LL COME OUT TOMORROW
Thanks, “Say What?” Now every time I hear “anti-Trump” on the news – which, you’re correct, is nonstop – I’m going to hear it as “Annie Trump.”
CHEERS TO DALE JR.
Apparently the “Daddy’s Boy” caller is going to miss Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s driving, too. Dale Jr. knew, like the rest of us, that nobody could ever be as good as his father, but he gave it a good try through this two concussions and he had several wins. As far as him being a party animal, that’s not true either. That was a celebration that he was retiring. Everybody’s going to miss him, and I’m sure that includes the person that called in “Daddy’s Boy” but they won’t admit it. His wife is pregnant and I think it was a time for him to retire, and we’re all happy in one way that he did. BOB
HE ACTED THE PART
“Trump 2020” is again saying that Obama is the worst president of all time. While Obama may have been a dangerous Chicago leftie who started the process of unraveling this country, I have to give him credit for at least acting like he knew what he was doing. I think we should still give the worst president title to a two-way tie of fellow Democrats Jimmy Carter and James Buchanan, who were both completely in over their heads. BECAUSE I KNOW EVERYTHING
DALE JR. WAS A WINNER
To “Daddy’s Boy,” if you knew anything about NASCAR, you would know that Dale Jr. won the Busch championship series twice. Hundreds of racers don’t win any races, let alone championships. He won at Daytona 500 twice – his dad won once. Some of the greatest drivers have never won at Daytona or Talladega. He’s the owner of Dale Earnhardt Inc., employs hundreds of people and has given more money to charity then you’ve probably made in your life. You talk about him having a party after he retired. My son-in-law just retired from the Navy after 35 years and guess what? We had a party that surpassed the Millenium party. You sound like a selfish person who never achieved your goals and my suggestion to you is to get over it and worry about your real problems in life.
