Penn fell to La Salle in double OT in its Big 5 opener. This is the second of six straight road games for the Quakers. Penn has lost 14 straight to the Wildcats and has never won on Villanova’s campus. Betley was named Ivy League Player of the Week.

Villanova:

The Wildcats return home to play their only game on campus this season. With the Pavilion undergoing renovations, most of Villanova’s home games will be played at the Wells Fargo Center. This is the first regular-season men’s game at Jake Nevin since an 87-71 victory over Marist in 1986 and the first Big 5 game in the arena. The Wildcats have won a record 18 consecutive Big 5 games. Their last city series loss was a 76-61 decision to Temple at the Pavilion Dec. 5, 2012.
