Single lanes expected on Lancaster Avenue at Villanova University

- Staff Report

RADNOR » U.S. Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) motorists will encounter a single lane pattern with flagging between Route 320 (Spring Mill Road) and Ithan Avenue on Monday, Dec. 4-Friday, Dec. 8, overnight from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning for overhead pedestrian bridge construction, PennDOT announced. Drivers are advised to allow additional time when traveling through the work zone. The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather.

The work is part of a $3.7 million local project to construct a new pedestrian bridge over Lancaster Avenue to connect Villanova University and the SEPTA platform. Once completed, Villanova will own and maintain the new bridge. The entire project is expected to finish in December 2018. Neshaminy Constructors of Lower Southampton, Bucks County, is the general contractor on the project which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
