Marjorie E. Dunn

Marjorie E. Dunn of Riddle Village passed away on November 27, 2017.

Marjorie graduated from South Hills High School in 1949 and received her B.A. from Dickinson College in 1953 with a degree in English. She worked as both a teacher and in the field of insurance, but her greatest joy came from being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

Marjorie was a highly regarded hand-quilter, and was known for her one-of-a kind baby quilts. She was also an accomplished knitter and seamstress, making hundreds of caps for infants in hospitals. Marge, as she was known to her friends, was an avid reader, active in a book club, and loved board games, and playing cards with friends and family. Since moving to Riddle Village, Marjorie was involved in countless activities and was truly a “caretaker of all.”

Marjorie is survived by her husband of 59 years Harry F. Dunn Jr.; Daughter-in-Law Maura Dunn, Children Steven Dunn (Holli), David Dunn (Judy Conti) and Katy Newlon (Jim), as well as her beloved grandchildren Jeremy, Zach, Ben, Abby, Julie and Katy.

Funeral Mass Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at 10:30 am in St. Thomas The Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrooke Rd. Glen Mills, Pa. 19342. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment Private In lieu of flowers, please send donations www.bcrf.org
