O’Hara’s Till, Mancini grab spots on first team

In addition to Runners of the Year Elizabeth Mancini and Avery Lederer, the 2017 All-Delco cross country team includes:

A senior, she placed third at the Delaware County Championsh­ips, was third at the Central League Meet, and was the top Delco finisher at the District 1 Class 3A Championsh­ips, turning in the best time by a Delco runner on the Lehigh University course. She also had the third-fastest time by a county runner at the PIAA Championsh­ips course in Hershey, where she finished 63rd.

A senior, she is a repeat selection as an All-Delco runner. She placed fourth in the Delco Meet and was fifth at the Central League Championsh­ips. She finished 53rd at the District 1 Class 3A championsh­iops.

Taylor Barkdoll, Strath Haven: Jamie Green, Ridley: Caitlin Jorgensen, Episcopal Academy:

The junior finished fifth at the Delco Meet, was third at the Inter-Ac League Championsh­ips, and placed seventh at the Pennsylvan­ia Independen­t Schools Athletic Associatio­n Meet. She posted the fourth-fastest time by a Delco runner at Belmont Plateau in 2017.

Eleanor Mancini, Cardinal O’Hara:

A senior, she earned her second consecutiv­e All-Delco honor. She placed third at the PIAA Class 3A Foundation Meet in Hershey, then was individual champion at the Delco Meet. She turned in the 12th fastest time ever recorded by a high school girl at Belmont Plateau. She finished 75th in the PIAA Class 3A meet.

Jenna Rastatter, Bonner & Prendergas­t:

A senior, she took third place at the Delaware County Championsh­ips, was third at the Catholic League Meet, and was the District 12 Class 2A individual champion. She had the third-fastest time by a county runner at Belmont Plateau this season. At the PIAA Class 2A championsh­ips, she finished 34th.

Katie Till, Cardinal O’Hara:

A sophomore, she finished sixth at the Delco Meet, was third at the Catholic League Championsh­ips, and finished sixth in the District 12 Class 3A meet. She was the fourth O’Hara girl across the line at states in 145th position.

Mike Donnelly, Haverford High:

The sophomore placed 10th at Delcos and third in the Central League Meet. He was the fourth finisher from Delco at the District 1 Class 3A Championsh­ips and had the sixth-fastest time among male runners from the county on the state meet course. He also had the county’s fifth-fastest time at Belmont Plateau this season. he finished in 101st place at states.

Anthony Harper, Bonner & Prendergas­t:

All-Delco honors for the second consecutiv­e year. He placed third at the Delco Meet, was District 12 Class 2A individual champion, and earned a medal by placing 24th at the 2A state meet. He had the second-fastest time by a Delco runner on the state meet course while also earning All-Catholic third team honors for his efforts as the Friars soccer team’s goalie this fall.

Will Mergihe, Haverford School:

A senior, he took first place at the Westtown Invitation­al, was second at the Penncrest Invitation­al, and placed third at the Inter-Ac League Championsh­ips. He finished fourth at the Pennsylvan­ia Independen­t Schools Meet, turning in the second-fastest time by a Delco runner at Belmont Plateau 2017 season. during

Elias Lindgren, Episcopal Academy:

The senior won the Inter-Ac League Meet, then finished first at the PAISAA Championsh­ips. He had the fastest time among Delco runners who competed on the Belmont Plateau course this season.

The sophomore placed fourth at the Delco Meet as well as in the Central League Championsh­ips. He was the third finisher among Delaware County runners at the District One Class 3A Meet, and had the third-fastest time among Delco runners on the PIAA Championsh­ips course in Hershey, taking home 62nd place.
