Upper Darby grad Fisher hits milestone in PSU-Brandywine win

James Fisher scored 15 points, the Upper Darby grad eclipsing the 1,000-point mark for his career, as PSU-Brandywine topped PSU-York, 85-66, Tuesday.

Fisher added seven assists and four steals. He’s just the sixth player in program history to hit the 1,000-point plateau.

Rob Tindley came off the bench to tally a team-high 16 points. Donte Whitfield added 12 points, and Terrence Brown chipped in 10 points and seven boards for Brandywine (6-2, 3-0 PSUAC). WILLIAMSON 73, LUZERNE C.C. 71 » Ryan Carlino poured in a game-high 25 points to go with eight rebounds as the Mechanics hung on for the victory.

Nazir Goldston and Gus Pagan (Interboro) scored 11 points each, and Jose Montanez (Chester native) added 10 points for Williamson (4-6).

Women’s Basketball

Brandi James and Madison D’Ambrosio each scored 17 points and posted doubledoub­les as PSU-Brandywine tallied a 5736 win.

James, an Interboro grad, hauled down 13 rebounds to go with her 17 points. The Springfiel­d grad D’Amborsio hit three 3-pointers and secured 10 rebounds for the Lions (5-3, 2-0 PSUAC). TOWSON 90, SAINT JOSEPH’S 66 » Sarah Veilleux led the Hawks with 19 points, but the away loss was a third straight for St. Joe’s.

Chelsea Woods was near a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds, and Alyssa Monaghan (Bonner & Prendergas­t) added 10 points and six rebounds.
