John “Jack” Seefeldt, 84, of Darby Township, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born in Philadelph­ia to the late Joseph and Madeline (nee Lane) Seefeldt. He grew up in Drexel Hill, PA.

Jack was a retired CAD Engineer. He will be remembered most for his kindness, caring nature and his ability to bring a smile to your face with his jokes and stories.

Jack was a devout Catholic who attended daily mass until he became too ill. He loved sports, especially college basketball. In his younger years he coached baseball and basketball for the Briarcliff­e Father & Son Associatio­n. He served many years as a Committeem­an for the Briarcliff­e section of Glenolden. Jack’s favorite times were spent with his family. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending summer vacations in Ocean City, NJ.

Jack was predecease­d by his loving wife, Maryann (nee Reilly) Seefeldt in August, 2016; his brother, Joseph and his son-in-law, Kevin F. Dieter, M.D.

He is survived by his children, Margaret Dieter Murphy (Tom), John Seefeldt, Jr. (fiancée Aileen), Joseph Seefeldt (Elizabeth), Patricia Hollabaugh and James Seefeldt (Barbara); 14 grandchild­ren and 8 great grandchild­ren. He is also survived by his sister, Anne Marie.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Saturday, December 9th at 9:30am in St. Joseph Church, 500 Woodlawn Ave., Collingdal­e, PA 19023. His

Funeral Mass will at 11:30am.

Burial will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made to St. Joseph Church. follow
