WHAT A MAN

To the man walking the big white dog who was out there again fixing or replacing American flags behind Siloam Church in Bethel Township: You are noticed and appreciated. Thank you.

SNUBBED AGAIN

I think it’s a disgrace that on Pearl Harbor Day, they put us in the middle of the paper. The least you could’ve done is stuck us on the front page instead of that land sale they made out in Springfield or whatever. THE MAN FROM ASTON

TRY SOME BRAIN FOOD

“Be Specific,” how stupid are you? The DowJones does not respond to actual laws. It responds to what Trump is doing. You need some fish or other brain food, and you obviously are a Democrat.

WHAT A SURPRISE

This is to the people who keep calling Sound Off complaining about idling trains: Were the train tracks not there when you bought your home? JUST SAYING

THE RICH ARE DIFFERENT

With regard to the tax bill, does anyone know how if I can claim the upkeep of my two yachts as business deductions since I hold meetings on them about once a year each? My accountant and tax lawyer are both vacationing overseas at the moment and I can’t reach them on the small isle resorts they’re at. I really don’t want to ask their staffers as a lot of them went to state universities and second-tier private schools. And no, I’m not wasting my money going to Center City firms with an all-Ivy League staff. New-money fools like Trump can blow their money on that. DELCO 1 PERCENTER

FAITH AND LOVE

I’d like to thank the fire departments that helped my daughter Faith. She had a little incident on the school bus and I can’t thank them enough, especially Mike Osmond and Jimmy Conlan. Thank you to them and 20 paramedics and other people there. Thumbs up and happy holidays. Thank you so much.

MAMA MIA!

It always makes you feel good when you see women pushing strollers standing at busy intersections talking and texting on their phones. PAY ATTENTION

MAIL CALL

To “A Fruitcake Lover,” the Figi’s catalogues has delicious-looking fruit cakes in it. I didn’t know if you’re able to get ahold of a fruit cake yet, but I got mine already in the mail. I don’t buy anything else like that anymore but fruitcake is one of my favorite things. So there’s another lead for you.

BE FRUITFUL

To “A Fruitcake Hater,” along with using them as a doorstop and paperweight, I also keep one in my car. They are surprisingly effective at providing traction in ice and snow. The combination of grit and oils from the bread and fruit – while not appealing to eat – provides just the right amount of friction. DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME

DOO TELL

I wonder if our president and the Congress know the 11th Commandment: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” I think not.

FRIEND OF FREIND

Kudos to Chris Freind. You’re better reading than the garbage in Sound Off where everybody’s insulting one another. Maybe you had Accounting 101; obviously these people down in D.C. are far removed from that. They must not have taken that class, or had somebody else take the tests for them.

TIGER NOT A ROLE MODEL

I agree with “Tiger Woods: Role Model.” Tiger Woods’ work ethic, love for the game and resilient are all things to be admired, but I don’t know that kids should be looking at everything about him for guidance. It’s pretty easy to rattle off a list of personal decisions in his life that most people wouldn’t want their kids emulating. ONE WHO KNOWS

JUST PEACHY

I have just one question for “Trump 2020:” What Sound Off pseudonym will you use after Trump is impeached in 2019? JAY FROM U.P.
