“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” will give us a much deeper — and darker — look into the Force. “The Force Awakens” left many questions, and fans eagerly waited to learn more about Rey and Snoke and if the Jedi will truly meet their end.

SUPREME LEADER SNOKE

Shadowy mentor of the First Order — and master of Kylo Ren. He fears that the return of Luke Skywalker will give rise to a new Jedi order.

ELITE PRAETORIAN GUARD

Samurai-inspired protectors of the Supreme Leader. Each has his own unique weapon to secure Snoke's throne room.

CAPTAIN PHASMA

Commander of the stormtrooper armies, she takes a hands-on approach, leading her troops from the battlefield. Determined to defeat the resistance, she has a personal score to settle with Finn.

KYLO REN

Fearing the dark Sith nature in her son — inherited from his grandfather, Darth Vader — Princess Leia sent him to be trained as a Jedi. Under the influence of Snoke, however, he betrayed his uncle and destroyed their order. Possessing knowledge of the light and dark elements of the Force, he is in constant conflict, trying to escape his past and extinguish the last vestiges of good that burn deep inside him.

GENERAL HUX

Ambitious and ruthless, he believes it is his destiny to rule the First Order. He has a tense relationship with Kylo Ren and competes with him to gain the favor of Supreme Leader Snoke.
