S. George Rhood, M.D.

S. George Rhood, M.D., age 85, of Upper Providence Twp., PA, passed away on December 27, 2017, surrounded by his family.

Dr. Rhood graduated from Chester High School, Dickinson College and Temple University Medical School. He served his residency at the University of Pennsylvania. He was Chief of Anesthesiology at Crozer Chester Medical Center, until his retirement. He served as President of the Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesiology from 1997 to 1998.

He was predeceased by his parents: S. George Rhood and Florence G. Rhood, sister Jane Emmanuel and brother Walter Rhood.

Survivors: Wife: Frances Stern Rhood. Children: Randall G. (Maripat) Rhood, Stuart A. (Jennifer) Rhood, Lynn E. (Don) Dockery, Glenda E. (Jim) Moretti and Duane J. (Susan) Rhood. Also survived by 14 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Service: Saturday, December 30th at 11:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Visitation: Saturday, December 30th after 10:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment: Edgewood Memorial Park.
