Doris B. Rothera (nee Burnside)

Doris B. Rothera (nee Burnside), age 87, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Brandywine Hall, West Chester.

Born in Colwyn, she was a graduate of Sharon Hill High School, Class of 1948.

Mrs. Rothera had been a resident of Runnemede, NJ, and most recently was a resident of Nottingham, PA.

She was retired from Admiral Insurance Company, where she had been employed as a secretary. She also played the organ professionally and taught lessons in her home.

Daughter of the late Edward and Edna (nee Hoffner) Burnside, she was also predeceased by her daughter, Donna Louise Rothera.

She is survived by her children, Charles (Carol), Paul, Gary (Bridget), and Cheryl Rothera. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and her brothers, Donald and Raymond Burnside.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Marvil Funeral Home, 1110 Main Street, Darby. There will be a Viewing from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment Arlington Cemetery.
