Louise Duke Hanna-Decker
Louise Duke Hanna-Decker, 95, formerly of Ridley Park died January 17, 2018 at her home.
Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Barrett and Alma Kitchen Duke and resided in Ridley Park before moving to her late residence three years ago.
Louise was employed as a Secretary for the Perlite Division of Westinghouse and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ridley Park. She was a Borough Councilwoman and Committeewoman. Louise was a member of the Daughters of Confederacy and the Chapel of the Four Chaplains. She enjoyed gardening, especially roses and traveling, but most important was her family.
Louise was predeceased by her husband, James W. Hanna, who died March 22, 1977, and her siblings Arthur, Sonny, Doris, Bernice, Calvin and her twin brother, Louis.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Russell Decker and his family. Louise was the mother of James D. Hanna; grandmother to Michelle Podbielski (Rob), James A. Hanna, Jeffrey M. Hanna (Michelle) and Meghan Hanna; also, 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Friday, January 26th at the First Baptist Church of Ridley Park, 15 East Ridley Ave, Ridley Park PA 19078, where relatives and friends may call after 9:00 AM Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
