Joseph Louis DeLuca, 67 of Avondale, PA, died Tuesday, February 06, 2018 in his home after a brave and courageous battle with ALS.

Born in Philadelph­ia, PA, he was the son of the late Louis and the late Carmella (Geonnotti) DeLuca. Joe was born and raised in South Philadelph­ia before living in Ridley Park for 40 years, eventually moving to Avondale. Joe was a devoted family man whose greatest joy was his children and grandchild­ren. Joe was an active member of the community, namely volunteeri­ng his time coaching his sons various sports activities. He was an avid Philadelph­ia sports fan - Phillies, Flyers and the Eagles. Finally got to enjoy an Eagles Super bowl win! Enthusiast­ic collector of memorabili­a, especially sports cards which he collected, traded and sold. He retired from the PLCB and was a Store Manager for various supermarke­ts.

Survived by his wife: Mary (McEntee) DeLuca. His Children: Joseph B. (Kim) DeLuca, Matthew R. (Ellen) DeLuca. Grandchild­ren: Ryan, Rocco, Abby, Michael DeLuca and his grand dog Zoe. Brothers: Louis DeLuca, Robert DeLuca. Sisters: Mary (Bob) Rementer and many nieces and nephews as well as extended loving and supportive family and friends. Funeral Mass, Saturday at 11:00 am at Saint John Chrysostom, 605 S Providence Road, Wallingfor­d. Friends may call Saturday. from 9-11 am at Saint John Chrysostom Church. Interment Private.
