Maureen Anne Dragoni passed away on February 8, 2018, after a sudden illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Maureen was the third child of Dorothy & James Dragoni. She was a lifelong resident of Brookhaven, PA.

She graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1975 and started her career with a degree in business.

Maureen discovered her passion, Nursing during the 1990’s. She obtained her Master’s degree in Nursing Education from Neumann University in 2010.

Maureen was a respected bedside nurse at Crozer Chester Medical Center and a Nurse Educator at Delaware County Community College. She was fond of her nursing students and derived great satisfacti­on from her role as a teacher.

Maureen loved ballroom dancing and was well liked among the local dance community.

Maureen loved Cape May, NJ, where she owned a second home. She often referred to Cape May as her “happy place.” Maureen was well traveled both within the USA and abroad. Her favorite travel companions were her sister, Dorothy and her dear friend, Joseph Finio. Perhaps, Maureen’s greatest accomplish­ment was her role of being a daughter.

She was a beacon of strength for her parents. Her love and dedication was unwavering during the final five years of her mother’s dementia. Maureen has been a rock of support for her father since her mother’s death on November 9, 2017.

Survivors: Father: James Dragoni. Her big sister: Dorothy. Together, they shared the joys of life, the blessings of family, the dedication of nursing and the bond of sisterhood. Two beloved brothers: James Jr. and Michael. Her dear sister-in-law: Gina. Many nieces and nephews: Cynthia, Andrew, Britney, Gianna, Victoria, Michelle, Michael Jr., Christina and Tiffany. Her darling: Joseph Finio, and her puppy: Cupid.

Visitation: Wednesday from 7:00-9:00pm at NolanFidal­e Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014 and Thursday from 9:30-10:15am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybroo­k Rd., Glen Mills, PA 19342.
