Jean (Filip) Staton, age 88, a resident of Glen Mills, PA, since 1954, died Monday, February 5, 2018.

Jean was employed with Edgewood Memorial Park for 32 years, until retiring as a cemetery supervisor in 1990. She also worked as a voting machine operator for Thornbury Township.

Jean was a member of the Redwood Senior Club, Swin’ Country Dancers and Delaware County Master Gardeners. Mrs. Staton was generous with her time. Jean volunteere­d at the Tyler Arboretum, Neighborho­od Hospice of Chester County, Chester County Hospital ER and the Helicopter Museum. Most of all, Jean cherished spending time with her family.

Daughter of the late Karol and Caroline Filip; Wife of the late Walter C. Staton, mother of the late David W. Staton and sister of the late John Phillips.

Survivors: Loving Daughter and Son in Law: Laurie & Kit Murdock, Daughter-inLaw: Lynn Pierce, Sister: Joan Peters, Grandchild­ren: Carl, Nicholas, Travis, Kristen, Andrea, Kaitlin and Karoline, Great-Grandchild­ren: Chloe, Cyrus, Walter, Oliver and Benjamin, Also survived by nieces.

Visitation: Friday, February 16th after 10:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd. Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Friday, February 16th at 11:00AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd.

Interment: Edgewood Memorial Park.
