Robert Buchanan of Media

Robert Buchanan “Bob”, age 73, of Media, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 8, 2018.

Born in Massachusetts on September 1, 1944 he was the son of the late Matthew and Ruth Buchanan, brother of the late Vaughan Buchanan, brother in law of the late Sandy Duggan Buchanan. Beloved husband of Sandra (nee Busi). Dear father of James (Trish), Steven (Lucia), Deborah (Bill) Brode, Meredith (Brian) and Melanie. Also survived by six grandchildren and his Brothers Kevin and Richard Buchanan.

Bob believed in “working hard and living clean” – he was a man’s man who told you how it was and never minced his words. A man of integrity and right living he loved the Lord and his family. He never called attention to himself. Bob took life as it came one day at a time always with a positive outlook, a great sense of humor and a hearty “Hello”.

For 30 plus years Bob was employed in Sales and as a Warehouseman for TMK Produce, he was a former member of the Media Area JayCee’s and he loved to sing in the church choir.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Monday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Cavanagh Patterson Family Funeral Home 43 E. Baltimore Ave. Media, Pa and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Nativity B.V.M. Church Franklin and Monroe Sts. Media. Followed by his funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Int. Calvary Cemetery, Media.
