Ethel Joy Kaiser Huttar

Ethel Joy Kaiser Huttar, 79, of Newtown Square, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Paoli Hospital.

She was the wife of David Huttar, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Born in Upper Darby, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Estelle Jaworsky Kaiser.

Ethel was a graduate of Sharon Hill High School, Wheaton College in Illinois and received her Master’s Degree from Boston University.

She was an elementary school teacher in Massachusetts for two years and for 36 years in Scarsdale, NY. She was an adjunct professor at Nyack College in New York. She loved music, antiques, reading, and interior design and cooking. She was the organist for more than 25 years at Ridgeway Church in White Plains, NY.

In addition to her husband, Ethel is survived by her son, Joel and his wife, Christy; grandchildren, Caroline, Nathan and Beth; siblings, Walter Kaiser, Roger Kaiser and Daniel Kaiser.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, H. Paul Kaiser and Judith Ferris.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Faith Community Church, 3515 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA 19015, where the family will receive guests starting at 1 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Faith Community Church at the above address.
