Kathryn “Kay” Laskowski

Kathryn “Kay” Laskowski, 87, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. Annes’s Retirement Community, Lancaster County.

Born in Trainer, PA, she was the daughter of the late Luc and Catherine Fatzinick. She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by 5 siblings: Michael, and Peter Fatzinick, Mary Cherniski, Eve Twomey and Ann Ferguson. She was the loving wife of 49 years of Bernard J. Laskowski who passed way 1987.

Before coming to Lancaster, PA she resided in Wilmington, Delaware and worked as a nurse at Shipley Manor until the age 78.

Surviving are her 2 children: Cecelia L. Green, wife of Wayne F. Green, of Maytown, PA, and Joseph B. Laskowski of Wilmington DE., her grandchildren: Jonathan Green, husband of Rebeca Flores Green, Dearborn MI, Christopher, husband of Tiffany Lewis Green, Mt in Joy, PA, Michael Green, Centreville VA. Allyson, wife of Matthew Zimmerman, New Orleans, LA, Kathryn Green, of Lancaster, PA and Joshua Laskowski, Collegeville, Pa, 3 great –grandchildren Kaylor, Greyson. and Piper Green, many nieces and nephews.

Kathryn was a loving and kind person always willing to give a helping hand to all she came in contact with. She was a wonderful mother with a great sense of humor and a strong but gentle spirit. She will be missed by all.

Relatives and friends may attend a Viewing for Kay on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 10 am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 7 Sharply Road, Wilmington, DE, 19803 with Funeral Mass to follow at 11am. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Alzheimer’s Association (ALZ.org) in Kathryn’s memory would be appreciated.
