Joseph “Ryan” Byrne, 25, of Glenolden passed away unexpected­ly early Saturday, February 17, 2018.

He was the oldest son of Joseph and Patricia Byrne. He attended St. Eugene Grade School and graduated from Upper Darby High School in 2010. Since then he has worked as an electricia­n.

Ryan was an avid Philadelph­ia sports fan and his love for music was his life’s greatest passion, second only to the love he had for his family and friends.

A devoted son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, Ryan was a compassion­ate, giving man who lived his life joyfully and wholeheart­edly, always making the most of each and every day.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Patricia (nee O’Donnell) Byrne, of Secane; his sister, Megan Ford (Vincent) of Glenolden; his brother, Sean Byrne (Kaitlyn) of Secane; his niece and nephew, Emma and Vincent Ford and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is reunited now with his beloved grandparen­ts, William and Mary Byrne and Joseph and Mary O’Donnell.

There will be a Viewing from 5 – 8:30 pm on Thursday, February 22nd, O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfiel­d Rd., Springfiel­d, PA 19064 and on Friday, February 23rd at 9 am in St. Eugene Church, 200 S. Oak Ave., Primos, PA 19018. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am. Burial will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
