Episcopal Place at Park Row:

421 W. 24th St., Upland, provide safe and affordable housing for low-income elderly in the community. The residency invites area seniors to its Cafe at Park Row from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Job Corps: Joseph Dreams, Inc.:

announces a series of free Diabetes Self Management Program workshops. DSMP is a workshop for people with or at risk for diabetes. It teaches the skills needed in the day-to-day management of Diabetes and to maintain and/or increase life’s activities. The program is designed to help people gain self-confidence with their ability to control their symptoms and learn how their health problems affect their lives. The Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP) is an evidence-based self-management workshop originally developed at Stanford University. The small group workshops are six weeks long, meeting once a week for twoand-a-half hours and are led by a pair of Trained Lay Leaders with Diabetes and/or diabetes knowledge. The meetings are highly interactiv­e, focusing on building skills, sharing experience­s and support. Participan­ts learn how to make weekly action plans and help each other solve problems they encounter in creating and carrying out the self-management program. Women Against Rape:

Delaware County Women Against Rape has been providing services to victims of sexual assault and their significan­t others since 1974. The agency depends on the support of its volunteers to meet the needs of clients 24 hours a day. Services to victims include hospital/ police interview accompanim­ent and telephone crisis interventi­on. Volunteers receive 40 hours of training to prepare them for their responsibi­lities and are asked to provide support at least twice a month for an evening or weekend shift.
