Richard William Jordan

Richard William Jordan, age 71, of Glenolden Pa., passed away on March 3, 2018.

Richard was born and raised in Darby, attended Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Grade School and graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School. He then was drafted by the United States Army and fought valiantly in Vietnam with the 1st Calvary Division. Following that he was employed by PECO until his retirement in June of 1999 after 32 years. He was known to have a great sense of humor, enjoyed dancing, was a huge Notre Dame fan, loved the beach but most of all, his 2 grandchildren were his absolute pride and joy above all else.

He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Isabelle Jordan.

His survivors include his daughter Tina (Drew) Clair, grandchildren, Lily and Kieran Clair, sisters, Carol Chappelle and Janet Fialkowski, brother Raymond (Ethel) Jordan and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 11th, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Cavanagh Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, Pa. and again Monday, March 12th, 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. at the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1101 Main St. Darby, Pa. followed his funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
