William G. Taylor
William G. Taylor, 75, of Kirkwood, entered into rest after a valiant threeyear battle with bone cancer on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester. Born in Aston, PA, he was the son of the late John Q., and Mildred (Lockwood) Taylor. He was the loving husband of Rachel (Baker) Taylor for over 56 years.
William was an electrician for the Franklin Mint and had retired from QVC after 20 years of employment. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his Mach 1 Mustang.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of the Jungle Cock (BOJC), a 75-year-old fishing organization for fathers and sons, based in Thermont, Maryland. He served as a past president of the PA chapter.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his children: Andrea, wife of Bill Dougherty of Kirkwood; William G. Taylor, Jr. of New London; Jane, wife of Tom Wilchak of Bethlehem; Jean, wife of Ralph Williams of Quarryville; and Valerie, wife of Steve Lam of Kirkwood. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 5 greatgrandchildren and 3 brothers: Pastor John Q. Taylor of Myerstown, Thomas Taylor of Bensalem, and Frank Taylor of Aston.
A service celebrating Bill’s life will take place on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Union Presbyterian Church, 5637 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, PA at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 1011 a.m. Interment will be private.
