Helen Bundonis, age 88, of Media, PA, formerly a longtime resident of Swarthmore, PA passed away peacefully at Riddle Memorial Hospital on March 6th, 2018.

Helen was born on April 7, 1929 in Philadelphia PA, married the love of her life Algird P. Bundonis in 1956 and settled in Swarthmore where they raised their 4 children.

She moved to the Residence at Glen Riddle in Media, PA in early 2016.

Helen truly loved engaging with people - from her family and friends to those she may have only known for a single conversation. She worked for the Bell Telephone company for 30 years before joining her husband Algird “Al” in establishing Algird’s Cafe in East Lansdowne. Helen and Al were founding parishioners of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Swarthmore PA.

Helen was a devoted and loving mother and “grammy” and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Helen was the beloved wife of the late Algird P Bundonis, devoted mother to the late Teri Wise, survived by her sons Paul, John and Algird T. Bundonis, son in law Chris Wise, grandchildren Matthew Romanowski, Lukas, Alek and Tessa Bundonis, Noah and Jordan Bundonis, Steven Wise and best friend and sister in law Ruth “Birut” Robinson.

Family and friends are invited to Carr Funeral Home, 935 S. Providence Rd. (Route 320) Wallingford, PA 19086 on Tuesday, March 13 for visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 9:30 am to 10:15 am at the Church. Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at Notre Dame De Lourdes Church at 990 Fairview Rd. Swarthmore, PA. Internment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
