Helen Tashjian, age 84, of Ridley Park, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Helen was born on November 2, 1933 to Felix and Agnes Zaleski and was one of three sisters. She lived on Ogden Street in Philadelph­ia and was a member of the crew team at Albert Einstein High School. Helen worked at the Frankford Arsenal for several years before marrying her husband Paul and moving to Ridley Park in 1956.

Helen was a caring, generous and loving person who had many friends and touched many lives. Helen was a devout member of St. Rose of Lima church and worked there as an administra­tive assistant for 40 years. She was also a Lector, Eucharist Minister, Cantor and made many communion calls to the sick and infirmed during her tenure at St. Rose’s.

Helen loved spending time with family and friends, was a great cook, enjoyed reading, drawing, painting, dining out and hosting family for the holidays. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Helen was wife of the late Paul Tashjian, Jr., her husband of 46 years, who died in 2001; sister of the late Stella Aydt and Mary Zaleski and grandmothe­r of the late William Tashjian.

Survived by her children, John (Pat), Gary (Donna), Marybeth (Late-Daniel), Paul, Patricia (Martin), MSGT Steven, Ret. (Kerri), eight grandchild­ren and six great grandchild­ren.

Funeral Mass 10:00AM Friday, March 16, 2018 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Eddystone.

Visitation 7 to 9PM Thursday, March 15, 2018 and 8:15 to 9:15AM Friday at White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park.

Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
