Crozer-Keystone announces new surgeon at CCMC
UPLAND » Crozer-Keystone Health System welcomes general surgeon Lya C. Crichlow, M.D., FACS to the practice of General Surgery Associates at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
After earning her medical degree at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City and completing her residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, Crichlow completed her fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Tulane University in New Orleans. She is also boardcertified by the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Crichlow is trained to perform a wide range of procedures using open and minimally invasive techniques, both laparoscopic and robotic. Crozer-Keystone Health System offers the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Crichlow offers surgery on the gastrointestinal tract, including gallbladder, small intestine, colon and appendix removal; hernia repair, including abdominal wall reconstruction; tracheostomy; splenectomy and removal of soft tissue masses.
Crichlow is dedicated to her patients’ wellbeing, noting that the best part of her job is helping her patients resolve their medical problems. During her spare time, she enjoys photography and traveling to faraway places. She has visited many European countries, Canada, and has traveled extensively around the U.S.
