Fillmore Joseph Ott, Jr. “Phil”, 83, passed away on March 18, 2018 in Glendale, AZ.

Phil was born in Philadelph­ia and raised in Fernwood, PA. He previously resided in Garnet Valley and lived in East Lansdowne for 40 years.

Phil owned and operated Ott Van Lines. He was very active in East Lansdowne Little League, East Lansdowne Boys Club, St. Cyril’s Parish Bingo, the Knights of Columbus where he was a 4th Degree Member and the VFW. Phil would help anyone, anywhere he was needed. He was a 40 year retreatant with the PECO/ Good Shepherd group at the Malvern Retreat House.

Phil was most proud of his service in the United States Marine Corps and bled red, white and blue.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol (nee Bouchard) Ott; his sons, Philip, John (Joanne), Michael; his daughters, Joanne (Steve) Magowan, Carol Ott and Patricia (Edwin) Winter. He also leaves behind the legacy of 11 grandsons, 5 granddaugh­ters and 9 great grandchild­ren. He is also survived by his brothers, William (Mary) and George (Dolores); and many nieces and nephews.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Fillmore and Sara (nee Dougherty) Ott; his brother, Joseph; infant daughter and granddaugh­ter, Anne Elizabeth Magowan.

There will be a Viewing on Friday, March 23rd from 5-8pm, O’Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfiel­d Rd., Springfiel­d, PA 19064 and on Saturday, March 24th at 9:15am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybroo­k Rd., Glen Mills, PA 19342. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am.

Burial will be in St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery.
