DiCarlo’s late goal is the difference for Radnor

Freshman Tori DiCarlo scored the last of her four goals with 1:44 left in regulation to spark Radnor to a 13-12 triumph over Plymouth Whitemarsh in nonleague girls lacrosse action Friday.

DiCarlo also contribute­d draw controls for the Raiders.

Cate Cox tallied five goals and four assists for Radnor, while Ellie Mueller scored three goals, dished an assist and pocketed eight draw controls.

In other nonleague action: INTERBORO 11, UPPER DARBY 10 » Morgan Reed and Keri Barnett netted four goals each, and Jaila Zaccarria stopped eight shots to lead the Bucs.

Molly Dowling added three goals for the Bucs, who led 6-3 at intermissi­on.

Maggie Blemings notched a hat trick for Upper Darby, and Violet Lange added a pair of goals. GARNET VALLEY 13, KENNETT 2 » Cam Faith and Regan Nealon each registered hat tricks as coach Jenny Purvis picked up her 100th win in charge of the program.

Riley Delaney and Madi McKee six added two goals apiece, and Kara Nealon supplied three assists.

In the Central League: SPRINGFIEL­D 13, PENNCREST 9 » Alyssa Long scored the first three goals of the game to put the Cougars in control early.

Long and Dana Carlson netted four goals each for the Cougars. Belle Mastropiet­ro (goal) and Erin Gormley (two goals) combined to win 14 draws in front of goalie Aidan Gallagher, who registered six saves.

Juliana George scored four goals, Grace Harding three for the Lions. Goalie Corryn Gamber recorded eight saves.

Baseball

Sean Donnell delivered three doubles and two RBIs to power Marple Newtown to an 11-1 Central League rout of Penncrest.

Luke Zimmerman added a triple and three ribbies in support of winning pitcher Sean Standen, who struck out four in the five-inning game.

Matt Arbogast Penncrest. tripled for STRATH HAVEN 6, SPRINGFIEL­D 1 » Chase Davis went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs to pace the Panthers. Davis scored two runs along with Luke Mutz, who tripled.

Winning pitcher Noah Atsaves scattered five hits and registered five strikeouts over four innings. HAVERFORD 17, UPPER DARBY 4 » Leadoff batter Andrew Elcock went 2-for-5 with a homer, a double and four RBIs to spark the Fords. Pat Boyle also plated four runs, going 1-for-3 with a double and a walk.

Pat Lindner (triple) stroked three hits, and Shaun Jones and Adam Stuck contribute­d two each for the Fords.

Mike Peters and Nolan Ward each had a double, two hits and an RBI for the Royals.

In the Bicentenni­al League: JENKINTOWN 12, CHRISTIAN ACADEMY4» Ming Song Guo slugged two hits and drove in a run, and Grant Carmer added an RBI triple, but TCA needed more firepower. The Crusaders fell to 0-2. In the Del Val League: INTERBORO 5, CHICHESTER 4 » Jared Delliprisc­oli worked the last two innings for the win and helped himself with 4-for-4, including a triple and a run scored.

Noah Kiely (2-for-4) sent Dom Scrivano (double) home with the game-winning run with a twoout single in the top of the seventh inning. Tim Convery worked five strong innings and helped his cause with two hits.

Andrew Rodriguez tripled and pitched 6.2 solid innings for Chichester. CHESTER 5, GLEN MILLS 2 » The Clippers allowed just five hits.

In nonleague action: EPISCOPAL ACADEMY 11, HARRITON 1» Isaiah Payton went 1-for-2 with a home run and four RBIs, and Cole Dumont homered and drove in three runs for EA.

Adam Robinson scored three runs in support of winning pitcher Taylor Schaible, who allowed just one hit and struck out three over 4.1 scoreless innings.

Boys tennis

Haverford won all three matches decided in three sets to register a 5-2 victory over Upper Darby in Central League tennis.

Sparking the Fords in the lengthy singles matches were Alex Arcidiacon­o, who defeated Zoe Lor, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, at second singles, and Connor Rose, who topped Ani Tapia, 6-0, 3-6, 6-2.

Brandon Caban won in straight sets at first singles for the Royals, with William Lu and Hanza Butt winning at second doubles.

Greg Damico and Luke Verzella, and Matthew Blickley and Zachary Signorello triumphed in doubles for the Fords (1-1, 1-1).

In the Del Val League: ACADEMY PARK 5, PENN WOOD 0 » Mel Schoolfiel­d gutted out a 7-5, 6-3 victory at first singles of John Kpankpa to get AP rolling. Kosevar Cocaj and Sahmir Blackwell added singles wins for the Knights (2-1, 2-1).

Boys lacrosse

Drew Brown netted five goals and two assists to lead Radnor to a 12-5 nonleague victory over West Chester East.

The Raiders got three goals apiece from Connor Pierce (two assists) and Jackson Birtwistle.
