HOW VERY KIND

I just want to say thank you to the wonderful lady who gave us a gift card at the Wawa last week. My husband is very sick and the help was very much appreciated. You’re a wonderful person. Thank you so much. VERY GRATEFUL

WHY FITZ ROCKS

I’d like the people at the short-procedure unit at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital. They’re the most caring people you ever want to meet, and they have great coffee. JOHN FROM CLIFTON

FEELING A DRAFT

If the United States keeps getting involved in these open-ended military operations, we’re going to be spread too thin and have to bring back the draft. We’re going to have to get some of these kids out of their parents’ basements – sleeping ‘til noon and playing video games and smoking pot – and put them in Uncle Sam’s Army. GET IT RIGHT

As a long-time Upper Chichester Township resident, I am getting tired of seeing your paper that certain things are located in Aston, when in fact they are in Upper Chichester and have an Aston postal address. The latest being that the Penn State Brandywine softball team playing at Maplezone Sports in Aston – the complex is on Chichester Avenue in Upper Chichester Township. I’m tired of reading about the locations that are false in your paper. FRUSTRATED RESIDENT

ORANGE YA GLAD?

Anybody who believes that there’s some sort of conspiracy against Donald Trump is as detached from reality as Donald Trump is. It’s just a ridiculous thing to believe, and if these people actually sat down and thought about it, I’m sure they would come to the conclusion that it is a ridiculous thing to believe.

FINALLY PROUD OF THE USA

I’m calling to say how proud I am of the action taken by the United States under President Trump and our allies with the recent attack on Syria. It’s refreshing to see that we have a leader who has a backbone, not like the jellyfish that was in office for eight years who went around the world apologizing for America and making us look like a paper tiger and a weakling. Now maybe some of the people rest of the world would respect us – but people won’t give Trump any credit because he did something that Obama did not have the guts to do.

REWRITING HISTORY

Like another caller said – “Tom From Drexel Hill,” you’re not doing yourself or anyone else who supports Reagan’s foreign policy any favors by talking about remembering Putin from him meeting Reagan and being awestruck in the 1980s. Putin didn’t hold public office the 1980s. And if you’re referring to the photo of Reagan in Moscow in the late 1980s with a tourist standing there who looks exactly like Putin, you wouldn’t have remembered him because you would have no reason to suspect he was an undercover KBG agent and he didn’t look awestruck.

3 MILLION AND COUNTING

“Newt Gingrich” is a prime example of another clueless right-winger who says that the working class voted for Donald Trump in this last election. If that was so, Donald Trump would have won popular vote, not just the Electoral College. But Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by over 3 million votes, so I would wager that most of the working class voted for Hillary Clinton, contrary to “Newt Gingrich’s” claim.

RIPPED OFF IN TRAINER

My husband and I are seniors who live in the 1300 block of Chestnut Street in Trainer, and last Wednesday someone stole three flower pots with silk flowers from the front of our property. The next day between 5 and 7 p.m., someone stole close to $200 worth of solar yard decorations off our front lawn. If anyone saw someone – or, likely, multiple people – going towards Township Line Road with a bunch of solar lawn ornaments at that time, please inform the police. They were gifts for my 72nd birthday and we really can’t afford to replace them. DISAPPOINTED SENIORS
