WAY TO GO, TINA

I see Delco’s golden girl Tina Fey is rewriting the record book on Broadway with “Mean Girls.” I’m delighted that she’s successful. She made Pica’s Pizza a household word on Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show.”

LUCKY ON LYNN BOULEVARD

IF, IF, IF ...

To “3 Million And Counting,” if you take away Los Angeles County and the counties that make up the boroughs of New York City (save for Richmond County – Staten Island went for Trump), Hillary’s lead in the popular vote disappears. How you take her win in the popular vote to mean she had support from working people, I have no idea. Then again, you may be one of these people who feel smart because they listen to NPR but have bothered to look at basic numbers from the election.

WHAT A SURPRISE

The only thing more confusing than how the Plame affair unfolded and Scooter Libby took the fall for everyone is how Trump came out of nowhere with this pardon in the midst of everything else going on.

PUZZLED READER

IT’S NOT GETTING BETTER

I agree with “Signal This.” For as long as I can remember people not using their turn signals has been a stereotype of angry Mid-Atlantic region drivers, but people are getting more reckless in the situation they don’t use them. This that caller, I’ve been behind a few people who just stop in the middle of a busy two-lane road with no real shoulder like their car is breaking down. It’s always to make a left onto a small side street and they’re never aligned correctly to make the turn so you have no indication that’s what they’re doing.

ONE WHO KNOWS

THE DREAM LIVES

I hope anyone who wants to cast dispersions on today’s youth took a good look at the front page of the Sunday Times. There’s a dream team of young, sharp kids that are really on the ball and going places. I rest my case with the front page of the Sunday Times.

SATISFIED IN SPRINGFIELD

THE ACCIDENTAL TOURIST

To “Rewriting History,” I’ve seen that photo of Uncle Ronnie in Red Square with the tourist who looks just like Putin, and I really hope that was him. I feel much better knowing that after years in the KGB and all the extensive training, he had to go be a “regular American Joe” wannabe with the polo shirt and huge camera around his neck to keep tabs on Reagan. How sad for someone who wanted to be a reallife Bond villain to have to disguise himself as some Glasnost-loving guy who would dress like someone visiting Disney World to go meet Reagan.

THE ESSENCE OF CORRUPTION

Trump pardoning “Scooter” Libby and saying he was treated unfairly is another example of how corrupt Donald Trump is. “Scooter” Libby was not even pardoned by George Bush under whom Scooter Libby worked. So George Bush didn’t think that he should be pardoned, he obviously should not have been pardoned. But Trump, being so corrupt doesn’t care. It seems like Trump figures, “Hey, the more corruption the better.”

ANOTHER TRUMP LIE

“The Donald” stated repeatedly during his campaign that he would produce his tax returns after the audit. Why hasn’t he produced it yet? His supporters say that there are more important things than viewing his tax returns. Therefore, his lying to the public is all right? His die-hard supporters were consumed with hatred for Hillary Clinton that they were blinded by Trump’s deceitful rhetoric. The reason why these supporters are referred repeatedly as stupid is because — well, what else could they be?

GOP NOT FOR TRUMP

BARRY’S SOLUTION

Anyone who is knowledgeable enough and cares enough about the world scene has to be aware of the action taken by President Trump and our allies with regards to Syria. My take on what would have happened if Obama was still in office would be him saying something like this to Assad, “If we promise to give you money, will you promise to be nice?” That’s what a jelly fish like him would do.
