Neil McDermott

Neil McDermott, 85 years old, passed away on Saturday April 14, 2018, in his Broomall home surrounded by family and friends.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Kathleen (nee Flood), his children Hugh (Barbara), Annamarie, Patrick (Heather) and Grace (Patrick) Farrelly, his brotherin-law John Flood, and his 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Mary Smith and Daniel McDermott as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Michael, Hugh, Joseph, and Patrick and his sister Bridget.

Neil was a proud native of Termon, County Donegal, Ireland. He was a dedicated member of the Men of Malvern and Teamsters Local 169.

The family is deeply thankful to Mainline Health Hospice who provided him with exceptional care in the final month of his fight with Alzheimer’s Disease.

The viewing will be Friday April 20, 2018 from 6PM to 8PM and Saturday April 21, 2018 at 9AM at Saint Pius X Church at 204 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008. The Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday April 21, 2018 at 10AM at St. Pius X Church. Internment to follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
