Barnett scores four in Interboro’s win over AP

Freshman Keri Barnett led the way with four goals and an assist while sophomores Marissa Mullan and Morgan Reed chipped in three goals apiece as Interboro rolled to a 16-6 victory over Academy Park in a Del Val League girls lacrosse match.

Senior Paige Dorwart also added a hat trick while three other players had a goal for the Bucs.

Despite the loss, Riley Street tallied four goals including the 100th of her career and is two shy of tying Gabby Lee’s school record of 104. Goalie Taeja Chambers-Jackson had 22 saves for the Knights.

In the Catholic League: ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 16, LITTLE FLOWER 4 » Amber Germer exploded for three goals and three assists and Liza Dellarata added a goal and two assists for the Patriots, who led 10-1 at halftime.

In the Central League: SPRINGFIEL­D 16, UPPER DARBY 3 » Amanda Biehl and Julie Shickling both had a hat trick while four players had two goals apiece including Bria Hempfield who also had two assists for the Cougars (7-2).

Maggie Flemings had a pair of goals and Lauren Stokes added one of her own for the Royals (0-7). RADNOR 13, HARRITON 6 » Ellie Mueller scored half of the Raiders goals with six, Cate Cox had four assists and Julie Rigolizzo had a hat trick. Goaltender Phoebe Proctor made eight saves.

Greta Stahl paced the Rams with four goals. GARNET VALLEY 15, RIDLEY 1 » Regan Nealon netted a hat trick, Kara Nealon had two goals and two assists and Caroline Carruthers tallied two assists for the Jaguars, who led 14-0 at the break. CONESTOGA 15, STRATH HAVEN 6 » Sophie Haase and Gillian Brennan each scored a pair of goals as teammate Margot Hotham and Paige Gillespie chipped in one goal apiece for the Panthers.

Lindsay Costikyan had four goals and three Pioneers scored two goals each including Nia Scott.

In the Bicentenni­al League: JENKINTOWN 17, DELCO CHRISTIAN 2 » Monica Lebaudy scored a goal in the second half and was credit with an assist on Alison Levis’ strike for the Knights.

Softball

Emily Gavin hit for the cycle in Interboro’s 18-1 thumping of Del Val League rival Academy Park.

Gavin was 4-for-4 with four runs scored. Sam Bellano added a home run and three RBIs, while Kate Patton was 2-for-2 with two RBIs.

All-Delco pitcher Bridget Bailey struck out 11.

In the Central League: UPPER DARBY 5, MARPLE NEWTOWN 4» Brooke Jones keeps racking up the clutch hits for the Royals. Her single in the bottom of the seventh gave the Royals a walk-off victory. Jones was 3-for-4 with a double and a triple. Amanda Dawson was 2-for-3 and scored the winning run. RIDLEY 7, SPRINGFIEL­D 0 » Anna Torrens did it all for the Green Raiders. She pitched a shutout with nine punchouts and helped her cause with a single, double and triple. Abby McCoy supplied a basesclear­ing double in the fifth and had a single and three RBIs. Morgan Chapman contribute­d a single and a two-run homer for Ridley. PENNCREST 6, GARNET VALLEY 3 » The Lions scored four runs in the top of the seventh to stun the host Jaguars. Julia Eckels knocked in the tying run and Melody Gleason delivered the go-ahead hit. Emma Stauffer added a pair of insurance RBIs. Eckles and Gleason finished with two hits apiece.

In the Bicentenni­al League: DELCO CHRISTIAN 12, PHIL-MONT CHRISTIAN 2 » Erin Mulholland enjoyed a big day at the plate, finishing 4-for-4 with a two-run homer and a pair of doubles. She also stole three bags for the Knights (34, 2-4).

Abbi Heacock went yard and pitched a three-hit complete game with six strikeouts and zero walks. CALVARY CHRISTIAN 1, CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 0 » Gen Kozub was a tough-luck losing pitcher as she scattered three hits and struck out three. Kozub and Oksana Specht each collected two hits for the Crusaders.

In the Ches-Mont: SUN VALLEY 13, RUSTIN 9 » Carly Williams was 2-for-2 with a double and four RBIs, Haley Lipka finished 3-for-4 with a homer, three ribbies and four runs to pace the Vanguards.

In the Catholic League: BONNER & PRENDERGAS­T 21, WEST CATHOLIC 0 » Kaitlyn Martin and Kaitlyn Monaghan each notched three RBIs and Allison Martin was the winning pitcher. LANSDALE CATHOLIC 6, HALLAHAN 0» Hallahan ace and Sharon Hill native Maddy McBride logged 13 strikeouts in the loss.

In the Inter-Ac League: NOTRE DAME 12, AGNES IRWIN 3 » Irish pitcher Grace Jackson struck out all nine hitters she faced. Jackson had two hits and scored two runs from the leadoff spot. Biance Rosato slugged a triple for Notre Dame. Lily Zelov cranked a threerun homer for Agnes Irwin. EPISCOPAL ACADEMY 11, GERMANTOWN ACADEMY 1 » Grace Smith went 2-for-2 with a triple and three RBIs in support of winning pitcher Emma Tansky.

Boys Tennis

Max Safanov, Garrett Spillerman and Alex Weiss all cruised to straight set victories in singles play as Radnor defeated Springfiel­d, 7-0 in a Central League clash. Ethan Lee and Luigi Giacomucci kept things going with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the No. 1 doubles match as the Raiders (6-2, 5-1) did not drop a single game on the day.

In the Inter-Ac: HAVERFORD SCHOOL 6, EPISCOPAL ACADEMY 1 » Grayson Potter won a tiebreaker in the No. 3 singles match, 7-4 after rallying to take the third set, 7-6, and Mike Pilkington and Thomas Ward also pulled out the No. 3 doubles match in three sets which included a 7-2 tiebreaker after the second set for the Fords. CHICHESTER 3, PENN WOOD 2 » Cliff Paasewe held off John Kpankpa in the No. 1 singles match, 7-5, 6-4 and Alec Lindley hung on for a victory in the No. 3 match, 6-4, 6-4 for the Eagles. The Patriots were led by Joseph Tholley and Steven Siv, who won the No. 1 doubles match in three sets.

Girls Track

Tatiyana Laylor won the 100, 200 and 400 meter events to highlight Penn Wood’s 101-35 Del Val League decision over Interboro.

Fanta Konde claimed first place in the 300 hurdles and triple jump for the Patriots. Kelly Connor bested the competitio­n in the discus and javelin for Interboro. Jill Barrett took top honors in the 3,200 run and Tracey Enders won the long jump.
