Franklin B. Nessel
Franklin B. Nessel, 94, formerly of Glenolden, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester.
He was the husband of Eleanor Dempster Nessel, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Vineland, NJ, he was the son of the late John and Emma Nessel.
Franklin was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having served in WWII.
He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Springfield where he participated in the Wednesday Willing Workers and The Upper Darby Marine Corps League.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Marcy Kahn; granddaughters, Yasmin and Noreen; one great granddaughter; sister, Anna Eckbold; nieces, Maureen Malarkey, Bonnie McLaughlin, Ellie Layman, Anne Marie Beck and Debbie Bear; and many great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018, at Covenant United Methodist Church, 212 W. Springfield Road, Springfield, PA 19064, where the family will receive guests starting at 11 a.m.
