Leonie Frances Nulle, age 99, of Media, passed away on April 15, 2018.

She was born in South Africa and was raised in England. Leonie was schooled in Belgium. During WWII she was a member of the Entertainm­ents National Service Associatio­n where she entertaine­d British troops. Upon moving to the United States she resided in Queens, NY for almost 40 years before moving to Delaware County.

Leonie was a member of the Garden Club in Queens, a Girl Scout leader, and volunteere­d her time to the Long Island Jewish Hospital. She was a Red Cross volunteer, a Rose Valley Folk member, and also enjoyed crocheting, painting, poetry, and French Club.

She was the daughter of the late Frank and Gwendolyn (Lewis) Potts, wife of the late John Buckstone and the late Paul Douglas, and sister of the late Edna Ambler and the late Vivian Castle. Survivors: her children: Michele Ellar (David) and Lois Kate Yachetti (Stephen); grandchild­ren: Jennifer Ellar (Laura), Beverley Self (Tom), Matthew Ellar (Nicola), John Ellar (Deirdre), Bridget Yachetti, and Sarah Nemser (Zach); and great grandchild­ren: Poppy, Harris, Miles, and Josephine.

Funeral services and burial will be private. A celebratio­n of her life will be held this summer for friends and family. Donations may be made in honor of Leonie to WRTI at www. wrti.org or to WHYY at www.whyy.org. Arrangemen­ts: Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, Aston.
