PHILADELPHIA » Compared to last season, the Eagles’ 2018 schedule is considerably less stressful, with minor exceptions.

The Eagles begin defense of their Super Bowl title Sept. 6, when they entertain the Atlanta Falcons. The Thursday night game gives them a mini bye, as they get the weekend to heal.

The Eagles then get some of their softer opponents as they play at Tampa Bay and host the Indianapolis Colts.

The Eagles play at Tennessee, the first of seven playoff opponents on the schedule. Then they host Minnesota before hitting the road to oppose the New York Giants on Thursday night.

The London game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are the home team, is Oct. 28 at Wembley Stadium.

The bye week follows at nearly the midpoint of the season.

The Eagles return from their break to host the Dallas Cowboys in a Sunday night game kicking off a homestand of three games in four weeks. The road game is Nov. 18 versus New Orleans.

The Eagles return to host the Giants and the Washington Redskins, the latter on Monday night. Then they play road games against the Cowboys and the Los Angeles Rams.

The Eagles host the Houston Texans Dec. 23 and play the Redskins at FedEx Field on New Year’s Eve.

The playoffs begin Jan. 5. The Super Bowl is Feb. 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The Eagles started 5-1 last year playing four of their first six games on the road.

The Eagles are tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for 19th in strength of schedule, the combined records of their opponents 126-130 (.492).
