Archbishop Carroll in a sharing mood once again

Eighteen players recorded one goal as the Patriots cruised to an 18-1 shellacking of Catholic League foe Bishop McDevitt Thursday.
It was the fifth time the Patriots players score at least one goal.
Amber Germer showed the way with a goal, three assists and four draw control wins. Goalies Julia Dellaratta and Sophie Kevtan combined for four saves.
Juliana Keith chipped in with a goal and two assists for the Patriots (8-1, 7-0). Jess Suloff, Grace Ewing, Liza Dellaratta, Julia Downs, Katie Detwiler and Grace Gallagher girls lacrosse had 18 all pitched in with a goal and an assist.
Boys Lacrosse
Ten players scored at least one goal in The Haverford School’s 17-3 nonleague thumping of Hill School.
TJ Malone (one assist) and Connor Devine each registered a hat trick for the Fords, who led at halftime, 13-1. Luke O’Grady chipped in with two goals and an assist, while Tim Carlson and Pearse Glavin also contributed a pair of tallies. Quentin Campbell added a goal and two helpers.
Haverford goalies Harrison Fellheimer, Sage Garito and Robert Esgro combined for three saves.

Baseball
Adam Jaep’s inside-the-park home run in the fifth inning set Neumann-Goretti on its way to a 7-4 victory over Archbishop Carroll.
Prior to Jaep’s homer, Joe LaFiora’s tworun double gave the Saints a 4-2 advantage.
Cole Chesnet doubled and scored a pair of runs for the Patriots (8-2, 5-1), who had won seven straight games. Trent Pierce was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Boys Tennis
Ricky Van NewKirk battled to a 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles, but Chichester lost a nonleague match to Bensalem, 3-2.
Cliff Paasewe was victorious in the top singles match for Chi, winning 7-6 (7-5), 7-5.
Girls Track
Freshmen Jilliana McEntee and Kristen Weil ran 2:24 and 2:25, respectively, in the 800 meters to help Episcopal Academy to a 79-15 Inter-Ac League victory over Baldwin.
Katie Brian, also a freshman athlete, bested the field in the long jump with a leap of 15 feet, two inches.
