Who is the lame brain that kept helicopters above the Ridley Park/Eddystone area for threeto four hours starting at about 5 a.m. on Thursday morning hovering above our homes, wakening up most citizens in the area? As we all know the train accident happened at about 11:30 the night before. No loss of life. There were reporters on the ground reporting all morning long, showing the same footage over and over again. The continual noise from the helicopters was awful. Burning up fuel for what, an accident that happened about six hours before? The news station took my call but did nothing. If they lived in our area it would have ended quickly. As far as reporting the traffic delays, they have vans on the ground for that issue. This was overkill news reporting at its best. RIDLEY PARK SENIOR

Bywood’s talented musicians and singers entertained a packed gym, playing and belting out 13 songs, including many fantastic solos and a pump-up-the-volume tribute to our Super Bowl champion Eagles. Well, all of Delaware County gets put in a Congressional district with a part of South Philadelphia and now I’m seeing campaign signs illegally affixed to telephone poles. What a surprise. I’ll give Bob Brady credit for one thing about the 1st Congressional District – I never saw the slovenly, classless part of the Philadelphia Democratic machine turn up in his parts of Delaware County at campaign time.
