Elizabeth D. “Betty” Tedesco (nee Sheehan) Dr. Gary J. Pascuzzo
Elizabeth D. “Betty” Tedesco (nee Sheehan), age 87, of Media, PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on May 3, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (nee Thomas) Sheehan.
Betty was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School. She was an avid gardener and was a woman of great faith who’s mantra was, “live one day at a time.”
Betty was the beloved wife of the late Orlando P. Tedesco, M.D; the loving mother of Mary Beth Lanza (Timothy), Michael Tedesco, Patty Cox, Christopher Tedesco (Laura), James Tedesco (Brenda), John Tedesco (MariJo), and Timmy Tedesco. She was the cherished grandmother of 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by her 3 siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, Tuesday, May 8, 2018, 9:30 – 10:30 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N. Providence Road, Media, PA 19063, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.

Dr. Gary J. Pascuzzo, 68, of Media (formerly Memphis; Newark, DE; Fort Collins, CO; and New York) passed away Friday April 27, 2018 at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood.
He was born to the late Joseph & Charlotte (Appello) Pascuzzo and raised in Glendale, Queens, NY, where he attended Christ the King High School.
Gary’s father died when Gary was 16, so to support the family, Gary worked as a Manhattan cab driver, a waiter, and an editor of the “Physics Review”. He earned a physics degree at SUNY Stony Brook, and a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics at Colorado State University. He subsequently worked as a civilian scientist for the U.S. Army and then as a university teacher at the University of Delaware (where he met his wife Melinda), University of Memphis, and, since 2003, West Chester University. Beyond his professional pursuits, Gary loved family, sports, and sudoku.
Survivors include his loving and beloved wife, Dr. Melinda Parsons; siblings Jill Pascuzzo Krische (wife of Tim Krische) and Guy Pascuzzo (husband of Janet Vickers Pascuzzo); Jill’s children Candice and Brent Krische; Guy’s children James and Jacob Horvat, Joseph Pascuzzo and Kelsie Pascuzzo; and Guy’s grandchildren Hailey, Cole, Austin, and Addison Horvat. Gary also loved his in-laws Scott and Vance Parsons and nieces and nephew Nicki Parsons Gordon, Ashley Burnell Krische, and Marina and Alex Parsons.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation for Gary on Friday May 11th from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the Cavanagh-Patterson Family Funeral Home, 43 E. Baltimore Ave., Media, PA 19063. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment in Media Cemetery, Media.
