Nealon hits century mark in Garnet Valley win

Regan Nealon can add her name to any list of the great girls lacrosse players in Garnet Valley history.

Nealon tallied three goals, including the 100th in her career, to help the Jaguars roll to an 18-2 nonleague victory over Great Valley Saturday.

Madi McKee led all players with four goals. Kathryn Toohey added three goals, while Cam Faith and Kamryn McNeal each chipped in with two. Goalies Sam Hamalak and Makenna Mink registered six saves apiece.

In other nonleague action: PENNCREST 15, W.C. EAST 5 » Grace Harding was in quite the groove. The senior attacker scored six goals and dished one assist to lead the way for the Lions (14-2).

Julianna George also enjoyed a sevenpoint game with three goals and four assists. Logan O’Donnell pitched in with a hat trick and one helper, while Annalee Doyle added two goals.

Corryn Gamber with six saves. EPISCOPAL ACADEMY 16, CONESTOGA 10 » Olivia Dirks totaled four goals and an assist, while Olivia Cunningham posted three goals and three helpers to power the Churchwome­n.

Softball

All-Delco Maya Hartman threw a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts as Penncrest claimed a 7-2 nonleague win over Mount St. Joseph’s.

Julia Eckels paced the Lions offensivel­y with a double and three RBIs. Colette Ernst was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and Holly Werner was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

In other nonleague action: CARDINAL O’HARA 2, INTERBORO 1 » Maggie Loomis tripled and scored on an error in the fourth inning, breaking a 1-1 deadlock. Loomis had a fine day overall for the Lions, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored while throwing a two-hit complete game with six strikeouts.

Bridget Bailey was a tough-luck losing pitcher. The Bucs’ All-Delco ace struck out 12 and gave up only five hits over seven innings of work. She also tripled and singled to account for Interboro’s only two hits.

Baseball

Jesse Goldman blasted a grand slam and Justin Meyer had a triple, two walks and two RBIs to power The Haverford School to a 16-5 rout of Conestoga in five innings.

Zack Summy walked three times and scored two runs, while Nick Holtz went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. The Fords (12-10) overcame an early 3-0 deficit with seven runs in the second inning and nine more in the third.

Tommy Bagnell scattered five hits and allowed three earned runs and three walks en route to a complete game victory.
