Kiely, Delliprisc­oli help Interboro nudge past Chi

Noah Kiely accomplish­ed a rare feat Tuesday. He started and helped finish a rally that powered Interboro to its fourth straight Del Val League baseball title with an 8-7 triumph over Chichester.

Kiely singled to start the third inning and ripped a two-out RBI single to drive in the goahead run later in the frame as the Bucs (13-2, 13-0 league) exploded for six runs to erase a 6-2 deficit.

Interboro scored five runs with two outs on four straight singles.

Chi only scored one run in the final four innings thanks to an outstandin­g effort from Jared Delliprisc­oli out of the bullpen. Delliprisc­oli allowed one earned run and fanned eight in 3.2 innings and got a fly ball to end the game with Chi runners at second and third base. Mike Ventura (2-for-4) drove in two runs for the Bucs, while Andrew Grieb (2for-4) scored two runs.

Jason Riberio had two hits, including a two-run double in the top of the seventh inning to cut the deficit to one for Chichester. ACADEMY PARK 10, PENN WOOD 0 » Billy Martin collected two hits and two RBIs to pace the offense. Hunter Dorman added two hits and two RBIs, while Barry Brown picked up the win for the Knights (8-6, 8-5).

In the Central League RADNOR 18, SPRINGFIEL­D 3 » Sean Mullarkey (1-for3, three RBIs), Ben Karnavas (2-for-3, two RBIs) and George Hoysgaard (2-for-3, three RBIs, one run scored) set the tone at the top of the order for the Raiders. Seamus Kennedy and Matt Cohen had three RBIs and three runs scored apiece at the bottom of the lineup.

Chris Huk knocked in two runs for the Cougars.

In the Inter-Ac League: EPISCOPAL ACADEMY 5, GERMANTOWN ACADEMY 2» Brian Virbitsky, Jack O’Reilly, Mitch Pagano, Ethan Krohn and Cole Dumont drove in one run each. Pagano, O’Reilly, Will Kelley and Tommy Dennis stroked two hits each to pace a 12-hit attack.

Isaiah Winkiur ripped a homer and drove in three runs for Haverford School. Alex Andrews and Logan Keller chipped in with two hits and two RBIs apiece.

In the Bicentenni­al League: DOCK MENNONITE 11, DELCO CHRISTIAN 7 » Tyler Rossini, Nathaniel Tutton, Stephen Wisnewski and Josiah Chow drove in runs for the Knights (8-7, 6-7). Clay Corcimigli­a scored twice for DC. JENKINTOWN 10, CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 0 » The Crusaders left the bases loaded in the first and second innings and stranded 10 men overall. Grant Carmer went 2-for-2 for TCA (2-11, 1-11).

Meghan Sullivan slugged a two-run homer and went the distance, but it wasn’t enough as Archbishop Ryan topped Bonner & Prendergas­t, 5-2, to clinch first place and the top seed for next week’s Catholic League playoffs.

Sullivan’s homer came in the fourth inning. She also allowed six hits, two earned runs and fanned six. Angelina Brooks added a double for the Pandas (11-4, 10-2), who enter the playoffs as the No. 2 seed. CARDINAL O’HARA 8, LITTLE FLOWER 1 » The Lions broke the game open with five runs in the top of the first inning. Margaret Loomis ripped a double, and winning pitcher Jenna Smith added a double. Smith scattered four hits and whiffed four to get the win.

In the Inter-Ac League: NOTRE DAME 17, BALDWIN SCHOOL 3 » The Irish pounded three homers in a seven-run outburst in the second inning. Anita Bilotta started the derby with a two-run blast. Sophia Marlino followed with a solo blast, and Sophia Haub capped the bombardmen­t with a grand slam.

In the Bicentenni­al League: FAITH CHRISTIAN 11, CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 5 » Dayla Fuselli, Grace Gormley and Oksana Specht stroked three hits each to lead the Crusaders. Gormley also stole six bases. DELCO CHRISTIAN 15, LOWER MORELAND 0 » Abbie Heacock drove in four runs and allowed two hits in three innings to get the win. Erin Mulholland added three hits and two RBIs, while Kendall Clarke chipped in with three RBIs.

In nonleague action: HAVERFORD 8, INTERBORO 3» Tess Smith had a big day, going 4-for-4 with three doubles and one RBI. Morgan Marchesani added two hits and three RBIs. Anna Medford ripped a two-run triple, while Lauren Meyer and Ali Murphy added two hits each.

Bridget Bailey ripped home run for the Bucs.

Radnor will have to beat a familiar foe to earn a spot in the PIAA Class 3A team tennis tournament.

The sixth-seeded Raiders swept the singles to knock off 10th-seeded Pennsbury, 3-2, in the District 1 Class 3A playback round. The win earned Radnor a date with fifth-seeded Conestoga in Wednesday’s fifthplace game. The Pioneers topped No. 8 Upper Dublin, 3-1. The top five teams advance to the state tournament.

Max Safanov, Garrett Spillerman and Alex Weiss swept the singles in straight sets to keep the Raiders alive. Safanov beat Christian Succi at first singles, 6-2, 6-1. Spillerman defeated Justin Hubsch, 7-6 (8-6), 6-0 at second singles, while Weiss scored a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Brian Buzgo at third singles.

In the Inter-Ac League HAVERFORD SCHOOL 7, SPRINGSIDE CHESTNUT HILL 0 » John Walsh, Grayson Potter and Cole Wolf swept the singles in straight sets. Julius Gola and Emilio Fink led the way with a 6-2, 6-0 triumph at first doubles.

In nonleague action: CHICHESTER 3, SUN VALLEY 2» Cliff Paasewe’s hardfought three-set decision helped the Eagles sweep the singles completion. Paasewe topped Ben Lehberger at first singles, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).

Grady Southern and Jake Baron, and Hunter Hoffman and Sean Setnick took the doubles for Sun Valley in straight sets. HAVERFORD 5, ACADEMY PARK 0 » Alex Arcidiacon­o and Connor Rose did not lose a game at second and third singles, respective­ly, to pace the fords.
