Charlton makes his case for re-election
To the Times: During my first term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, I have worked hard to serve as the voice of residents of the 165th District, which includes Springfield and Morton as well as portions of Marple and Radnor.
I have fought for fair state funding of our local school districts so our students receive the education they deserve and homeowners are not forced to pay an inequitable property tax burden. I championed Growing Greener III legislation to provide local municipalities with access to grant money to support open space preservation.
I understand from personal experience the challenges that families face when caring for children with special needs. As a result, I have been an outspoken advocate for individuals with disabilities in the Legislature.
I have also worked to combat the problem of opioid abuse, supported calls to increase focus on safety in our schools, and volunteer my time with Springfield Cares Coalition, which is attempting to curb substance abuse in our communities through positive actions and caring support. I also have a close relationship with members of law enforcement and am proud to be endorsed by the Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 27.
Better schools, more jobs, public safety, open space preservation, and a sound quality of life for local residents are among my top priorities. If you agree, please be sure to come out and support me in the upcoming Republican primary election on Tuesday, May 15. I need your support so I can continue the work I have been doing in Harrisburg. I hope that I can count on your vote.
