PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS

Hi, just received another survey questionnaire, to which I will return saying, “You are being reimbursed for my brains. Therefore share your money with me.” I now charge $1 per question on any survey. If they want answers from me, pay me. The name of the game is money, and guess what? That is what I want. MONEY FOR BRAINS

THE GOP DILEMMA

I’ve been noticing that a lot of school districts are raising their taxes again this year. I’m waiting for the flood of angry calls by people who are upset that these taxes are being raised, and these are the same morons who keep voting Republican every time. The reason these districts have to keep raising their taxes is because Republicans at the federal and state level keep cutting education funding. If these idiots would learn to not vote Republican, then we would get education funding and their local taxes wouldn’t keep getting raised.

RIGHT TO COMPLAIN

“Yada Yada” says that CNN and MSNBC complain every day about the White House. That’s because the White House does something every day for normal people to complain about. Apparently “Yada Yada” watches Fox News, which does nothing but lavish praise on Trump, even when Trump is doing things that normal people should be complaining about. So I guess the people that watch Fox News are not normal people.

MONEY TALKS

If Democrats are so poor and don’t have any money, and the Republicans are for the rich and have all the money, why is it at election time, the Democrats collect the most money and spend the most money to get elected? It’s far more money than Republics collect. Why is that?

RESPECT YOUR ELDERS

America is the only country that does not love and respect its elders. As soon as we get old, look old, seem old, they don’t even look at us, bother with us or have anything to do with us. We’re pushed aside and we get no respect. It’s really sad. Other countries adore and worship their elderly, but in America we don’t. We’re considered out of it – “Get out of here, don’t bother with us, we’re young we’re beautiful.” You know what? We were young and beautiful at one time, too. We earned our respect.

STANDING PAT

Congratulations to Pat Burns – good luck in opening your new hotel in Marple Township. Pat has done remarkable things in Delaware County, especially with the Springfield Country Club. I salute you, Pat. Keep up the wonderful work. SAXER AVENUE GENE

A BAD BET

To “Smartest Man In Collingdale,” I think the real question is why doesn’t someone in those lottery commercial give Gus the lottery groundhog one of those help lines for compulsive gambling. He’s got a handful of new scratch-offs every week in those ads, and that’s just a 15 second glimpse into his life. You know that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

TRASH IS US

To “Gone To Pot,” I see a lot of that with young people today, but you could say the same about the worst of the Baby Boomers on down to the present. And if you change the pot smoking, not getting married part to “problem drinking, degenerate gamblers,” you could say it about quite a few people in the Greatest Generation. There’s always been trashy people out there, and sadly that’s never going to change. DELCO CYNIC

TURN TO FOX

Question: What’s worse? The Democrats spying the Republican candidate, or the press not even covering it? DISGUSTED IN ASTON

THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING

“Cherry Picker” made me think about the difference between egomaniacal, morally bankrupt but pragmatic centrists like Bill Clinton and Trump. I think the issue is that Southern Democrats always seem nicer and more cheerful in their government-knows-best condescension (I’m looking your way, too, Jimmy Carter). That’s why Trump had to go to the Reform Party and later Republican. ONE WHO KNOWS
