Longball carries Marpleto Delco League comeback win

Four Wayne pitchers (Sean Mohollen, winning pitcher Tom Cockill, Matt Eiel and Ashton Raines) combined for a two-hitter in a runaway victory. Mohollen had three hits, Dan Williams had three hits and three RBIs and Matt Briner had two hits and knocked in a pair of runs for Wayne.

MSBL

Barry Blundin tossed a complete game five-hitter complete with five strikeouts to lead the Top Lumber Expos past the Clifton Orioles 11-3 Wednesday night.

Jose Castro, Bob Ford and Glenn McCann all had five hits in a doublehead­er Thursday, leading the Patriots to a sweep of the Bees by 14-3 and 11-4 in the Ches-Del Senior Softball League.

Castro was the winning pitcher in both games, while Ed Turner and Larry Trout spread four hits each over the two games.

Delaware Valley Senior Softball

John Farley and John Herr each went 3-for-4 with a triple and two doubles, respective­ly, as T & T defeated United Sports, 15-6. Bill Isakson added two hits and three RBIs, while Bill Pfeifer slammed a double and triple to help the cause.

Ken Weiler was the winning pitcher, surviving three RBIs produced by United Sports’ Jack Williams.

Brandywine Valley Senior Softball League

Al Trimmer, Joe Bonavita and Ken Ross all had four hits to lead Goshen Beverage past Boss Automotive 21-11. Trimmer picked up the pitching win.
