Sound Off: Call 484-521-3180 VERY STRANGE

-

GET A LIFE, BUDDY

To the jerk who laid on the horn, yelled at me and ran up the shoulder to get around me at Fourth Street and Gov. Prince Boulevard: You did see my turn signal was on, right? And you did see those three trucks coming through the intersection, right? And you do know that when you’re trying to make a turn you have to yield to oncoming traffic, right? And if you thought I was going to jump out in front of those trucks because you were in a hurry, then I’d like to know what you were smoking.

THE SWAMP RAT

WORST SOUND OFF EVER

I read Sound Off every day but Wednesdays was the worst. As a Republican, should I take “Think Again’s” words as a threat to my life?

JUST WONDERING

LIVE LONG AND PROSPER

To “Do It Again,” I hate to break it you, but most animals’ lifespans aren’t that long. There’s an obvious reason why Lassie, Flipper and Gentle Ben aren’t back on TV.

NERVES OF STEEL

Hey Sound Off, you must get a lot of calls from people. Why don’t you put in some new and different ones instead of being so repetitive and boring? I’m talking specifically about seeing “If Ain’t Steel, It Ain’t Real,” who’s called in at least three times already.

IT’S A STEEL

Yeah how many times are going to print “If It Ain’t Steel, It Ain’t Real” making the same argument over and over and over? It’s so tired. You can’t tell me there’s nothing else you could put in there that’s more interesting than that.

LOSING YOUR TOUCH

OPEN MIND

I think the point “Land Grab” was trying to make this issue of over-development. We certainly have a large volume of housing to choose from. I have read that floods are more commonplace today because the rain has nowhere to go. I’m not opposed to developmental to a point; however, there’s something to be said for open space.

NATURE LOVER

Isn’t it peculiar that two network TV stations didn’t cover our president signing into law that people with incurable diseases or which we don’t have a cure for now have the right to go to other countries or use experimental medicine? The two network TV stations didn’t seem deem it was important enough to cover. I think it’s one of the most important decisions that has been made in the last 20 years.

R.G. IN RIDLEY PARK

END THE THREATS

To “Think Again,” I’m a Republican, I’m not dumb, I’m not stupid and I’m not a moron. I am United States citizen with the rights to choose mine through without having my life to be threatened by a Democrat like you. Thank you.

LIFE IS WONDERFUL

The left cannot deal with all the success that President Trump is having. They’ll never get over it.

TOO BAD

ROCCO ROCKS

Rocco Polidoro of Springfield had a great letter to the editor this week. I like how it ends about, “How much do we take?” And he only highlighted the main things – Donald Trump has said and done the most idiotic, ignorant things that any president of the United States has ever done. How much more will we take of this man? Hopefully not much more. And you people who still think he’s absolutely wonderful – there’s something wrong with you. Wake up and smell the roses.

JUST SAYING IN ASTON

DON’T BLAME THE GOP

To “Dump Trump,” I don’t think a lot of “moronic right-wingers,” as you say, have supported tariffs and protectionist economics for at least 75 years. You can thank Trump’s years as a Democrat and Reform Party member for that idea. And on that note, maybe if we all had a little more civility in this country, we could be getting some things done with a president in office who’s cherry picking ideas to support from across the political spectrum.
