HAVERTOWN MAN CHARGED IN VIOLENT ASSAULT ON 3-MONTH-OLD SON

A Havertown man has been arrested for beating and seriously hurting his 3-month-old child.

Nicholas Marigliano, 27, of Havertown, was arrested and charged with felony counts of aggravated assault, endangerin­g the welfare of a child and related charges, police said.

According to police, the assault on the child took place June 15. At 5:13 p.m., police were dispatched to a medical emergency at 1210 Gail Road in West Goshen. The initial report indicated that the victim was a 3-monthold baby and was unconsciou­s.

Medical personnel responded to the home immediatel­y, and transporte­d the baby to Chester County Hospital.

While being treated at the hospital, the baby was diagnosed with serious injuries and was subsequent­ly transferre­d to Nemours-Alfred duPont Hospital for Children in Delaware, where the child remains.

Marigliano works at American Alarm Technology, according to a public profile on his Facebook page. However, workers at the Springfiel­d firm could not confirm his employment.

Marigliano also listed past employment at Malany Electric, a former residentia­l electricia­n at Pusey Electric, a former material handling employee at DePuy Synthes-Johnson and Johnson, a former parts driver at Videon Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, and a former sales associate at Kohl’s.

Marigliano also posted that he studied liberal arts at Delaware County Community College and attended Upper Darby High School.
