Atsaves does it all for Nether Providence

Noah Atsaves pitched four shutout innings of relief and hit the go-ahead RBI single to lead Nether Providence to a 4-2 win over Haverford in Main Line Senior Legion action Wednesday.

Luke Mutz and Andrew Yates each collected two hits for NP. Henry Dawes started on the mound and pitched three solid frames.

In the Delco League:

NARBERTH 11, SPRINGFIEL­D 5 » Steve DeBarberie belted a grand slam and Joe Ravert smashed a three-run dinger to pace the Mudcats (6-2-1) to victory. Marty McKeone didn’t have his best stuff on the mound, but gave Narberth four innings to pick up the win. James Fantore threw a perfect fifth inning, after which the game was called due to darkness.

In Delco MSBL: TOP LUMBER EXPOS 7, GLEN MILLS RAYS 0» Matt Papa twirled a three-hit shutout with six punchouts.

Anthony DiGregorio (double) and Len Montano (three RBIs) led the offense with two hits apiece. Ed Bahamonde and Kevin Archer each chipped in with a hit and an RBI for the Expos (9-1). DELCO TIGERS 2, MEDIA MUSTANGS 1 » Joe Little pitched six strong innings for the Tigers (8-3-2), allowing one unearned run and striking out five. Jeremy Dale closed the game for his third save of the year.

Rhett Whitton knocked in a run and scored the other for the Tigers, who improved to 6-0-1 over their last seven games.

Billy Cody hurled seven solid innings for the Mustangs in defeat.
