Rally to end gun violence set to honor life of Bianca Roberson

EAST GOSHEN » A rally to end gun violence in honor of the life of Bianca Roberson, called Walk For Me, will be held Aug. 5 at East Goshen Park.

In 2017, Bianca Nikol Roberson’s life was cut short due to what police called a random act of gun violence when she was just 18 years old.

David Desper, 28, of Trainer, is waiting trial for her death.

Roberson had recently graduated from Bayard Rustin High School, and had received a full scholarshi­p to Jacksonvil­le University in Florida. Bianca embraced those that she came across regardless of their age, race, creed, religion, sexual orientatio­n, or socio-economic status. The Bianca Nikol Merge with Mercy Foundation, will carry out the intent behind her radiant and welcoming smile, through a commitment to empowering the oppressed to overcome societal challenges. Registrati­on for the 2.5K Walk is $5 at the event and includes a wristband. Registrati­on opens at 9 a.m. On-site registrati­on will be available.

East Goshen Park is located at 1661 Paoli Pike, West Chester.

All net proceeds will benefit the Bianca Nikol Merge With Mercy Foundation in support of preventing future gun violence tragedies and the Roberson/Rowley Foundation Honoring Bianca & Mykel. The Roberson/Rowley Foundation fund is a charitable endowed fund of the Chester County Community Foundation.
