• Caroline R. Soares (nee McNamee)

Caroline R. Soares (nee McNamee), 85 a resident of Springfield formerly of Clifton Heights passed away on August 10, 2018.

Mrs. Soares was born in Philadelphia to the late Bernard J. and Dorothy R. McNamee and was a graduate of Overbrook High School.

Caroline was a retired Bus Aide for the Upper Darby School District. She enjoyed travelling, the shore, bingo, the boardwalk, her collection of flamingos and her time at the Old School House Senior Center in Folsom.

Her greatest love was her family and being a grandmother.

Predeceased by her husband Alfred J. Soares, granddaughter, Jenny Blees and brother Gerald McNamee.

She is survived by her children; Alfred “Scott” (Arlene) Soares of Aldan, Beth Ann (Charlie) Kopp of Morton, Faye L. (Chris) Christy of Springfield, Brian K. (Ellie) Soares of Collegeville, Jeffery A. (Luz Divina) Soares of Springfield and David M. (Kerry) Soares of Bermuda; 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Bernard J. McNamee, III, Robert M. McNamee and William L. McNamee. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Wednesday 7:00 - 9:00 pm and Thursday 9:00 am at the Williams Lombardo Funeral Home 33 W. Baltimore Ave. Clifton Heights.

Funeral Service: Thursday 10:30 am at the Williams Lombardo Funeral Home.

Interment: Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
