DREARY DELCO

I just have to ask what is happening to Delaware County. I drive up and down McDade Boulevard and Chester Pike and it breaks my heart. I am from Delaware County and I love the county but there are empty businesses and there is grass and weeds growing in front of these businesses up to people’s knees. The road are covered with grass and trash and cigarettes. They must actually just throw the bags of trash out the window. It’s a just great. I drive up and down some of the streets in Delco and see that people don’t cut their lawns or they cut their lawns and they leave the shavings all over the street or they don’t pick the weeds up. We need to get Delaware County back to what it was.

HOW WE GOT PALIN

The article in Sunday’s paper on John McCain was well written. But there was one mistake. John McCain did not pick Sarah Palin to be his running mate. He wanted Joe Lieberman but the boys in the back room said he was too much of a maverick and gave him Sarah Palin and I think gave him the loss to Obama.

A QUESTION OF LOYALTY

Donald Trump said he picked Jeff Sessions to be attorney general because he expected Sessions to be loyal to him. That in a nutshell is what Trump is all about – people in the government do not swear loyalty to each other, they swear loyalty to the Constitution to uphold and defend the Constitution. But Trump doesn’t care about the Constitution. That’s why he’s so perturbed at Jeff Sessions because Jeff Sessions is not being loyal to him.

So a nonimmigrant possesses 1,578 rounds of ammunition and threatens to shoot up the school. He has spent time practicing at the range so he probably has gained the experience he needs to effect the threat. (Imagine the carnage, hundreds of your friends, neighbors or family; teachers, students, police etc. killed or wounded). In June he was sentenced to four to 23 months for terrorism but is now on parole. Should he be given a smack on the wrist and sent home to his wealthy parents? Would your neighbor’s child receive the same if he had committed the same? Show some justice. Send him home in ten years!

This is to “Mr. Tom in Linwood.” You’re nothing but a big pie-hole Republican talking mouth. Talking about a great man like John McCain. I’m a Democrat but I’ll tell you something. I have great respect for John McCain. He was a war hero and a veteran for our country. I don’t know what you are but I have an imagination and all I have to say to you is you don’t have respect for anybody. You don’t even have respect for yourself because you’re a low-lifer. And I’ll tell you something. John McCain might have been a Republican but he had the heart and soul of a great Democrat. He was kind and good and loving. God bless John McCain forever.

So the Democrats should talk with Trump supporters? That would be like trying to talk to the supporters of Jim Jones in Jonestown. Trump supporters are fanatics just like the people in Jonestown were fanatics. You cannot talk to fanatics. You cannot reason with them. They don’t think logically like the rest of us.
