Rehak scores twice to lead Episcopal to win

Maddie Rehak scored twice and Kelly Smith also rattled the back of the cage as Episcopal Academy topped Hill School, 3-2, in a nonleague game Saturday.

Gianna Pantaleo and Kathleen Anderson added assists, and Caroline Kelly and Gianna Cilluffo combined for nine saves for the Churchwome­n (2-0-2).

RADNOR 3, GWYNEDD MERCY 1 » Rory Harper and Phoebe Proctor shared goalie duties and made five saves apiece for the Raiders, and Olivia Shea scored twice off assists from Paige Lowry, who also scored, for the Raiders.

Boys Soccer

Samuel Wilson’s

hat trick of the season powered Episcopal Academy to a 3-1 victory over Hill School in nonleague boys soccer action.

Xander Lotsis and Jack Pacera dished one assist apiece, and goalie Trevor Manion finished with seven saves for the undefeated Churchmen (7-0-1).

In other nonleague action: CARDINAL O’HARA 6, SUN VALLEY 4» George Troilo netted a pair of goals to lead the Lions past the Vanguards. Martin Meenan, Luke Signora, Robert Salvadore and Jack Tuberosa all chipped in with one score.

Girls Soccer

Jacki Floyd scored in the seventh minute of the first overtime period to lead Interboro to a 1-0 nonleague win over Upper Merion.

Kayla Droxler made 11 saves in goal to keep the clean sheet, aided by the stellar defense of Gianna Frangelli, Hailey Wittorf and Madison Brady.

Volleyball

It was a spectacula­r day for Notre Dame volleyball. Make that, Spiketacul­ar.

Notre Dame won all 12 of its mini-matches in the Cherokee Spiketacul­ar Tournament at Cherokee High School in Marlton, N.J., to win the tournament against a field of schools from the Garden State.

Notre Dame beat Cherry Hill East in the semifinals and Gloucester County Institute of Technology in the final.

Riley Shaak tallied 68 kills in the tournament to pace the attack. Maddie Donaphon accumulate­d 83 kills to lead the defense.

O’HARA SWEEPS THREE » Cardinal O’Hara notched 3-0 wins over Springfiel­d, Agnes Irwin and Academy of Palumbo at a play day Saturday. Maeve Boylan fired 12 aces in the tournament, setting the school’s career record with 183 aces. She added 57 assists, 11 digs, four kills and five blocks in the three matches.

Siobhan Boylan combined for 17 kills, six blocks and three digs, and Sarah McGarrity added 29 digs and seven aces for O’Hara (8-1).

C.B. EAST 3, RIDLEY 0 » Mel June registered 18 digs and Angela April and Alex Orr both pitched in with seven kills and three blocks. Madison Vinovrski (six blocks) and Anna Borcky (five blocks) excelled at the front of the net.

W.C. HENDERSON 3, RIDLEY 0 » April (10 kills, nine digs), June (20 digs) and Orr (six kills) stood out for the Green Raiders.

Girls Tennis

Ashley Kennedy outlasted Hill’s Elena Zhang, 2-6, 6-3, 6-1, at first singles to lead Episcopal Academy to a 4-1 nonleague win. Bella Calastri also notched a win at second singles for EA.
